At long last our first franchised branch opened in MANCHESTER on Friday 2nd December!

Based at 47 King Street West, between Kendal's and San Carlo's, the new store is run by the Prestwich-based Hymanson family. Mike, Sherry, Howard and Barry have worked closely with Jean and Tony to open what we feel is a stunning new TeaRooms right in the heart of the city centre.

We welcome all the Hymanson's and thank them for their efforts and wish them every success in their new venture!

We welcome our customers from Bury, many of whom have campaigned for years to have a "Leckenby's" open in Manchester (you've finally had your wish come true!) and, of course, the many new customers from Manchester and surrounding towns. We are sure you will enjoy the experience, and hopefully become, like many of our customers in Bury, regular visitors to "Leckenby's".

NEW WEBSITE

We have realised for some time that our Website is a little dated!

To this end, we are currently working on a new website, and this should be in place within the next couple of weeks or so. This should enable us to bring you much more news about "Leckenby's", and hopefully announce further franchised openings.

  1. The new National Food Hygiene Rating system is launched April 2011, whereby eating establishments are rated from 0 to 5.We are delighted to announce that LECKENBY'S LICENSED TEA ROOMS has been rated at 5 which is the top rating and our premises will be described as VERY GOOD.

We were recently featured in the Daily Mail Franchise Section. To quote: "Leckenby's, a tearoom and chocolate shop, is looking for it's first franchisees. TIPS

There have been articles in the press recently regarding the payments (or in some cases, the non-payments!!!) of tips to staff.                                                

Our policy is quite straight-forward. If you have enjoyed good service and wish to thank the staff for that, then your gratuities are split equally amongst the staff, both up front and in the back, who have helped you enjoy your visit to Leckenby's. We believe that this is the fairest way to reward our hard-working staff, and I can assure you that they appreciate the extra in their pay packet!

GREAT NEWS!!!

Our first franchised branch of LECKENBY'S has now opened in Manchester city centre.

Situated on King Street West, by the side of House of Frasers (Kendal's) and facing the famous San Carlo restaurant.

Seating 80 people, in lush surroundings, the new LECKENBY'S is being run by the Hymanson family, and we, naturally wish them all the very best.
